Who can participate in NHSEE - Middle School Expo: To participate in NHSEE - Middle School, students need to meet the following conditions:

PROJECT RULES |
Limitations and Rules for Student Projects entered in NHSEE - Middle School Fair:
- Use of vertebrate animals in experiments, is prohibited. The exception to this rule is if the only animal involvement is observational.
- The use of human subjects is limited to surveys and observations. Surveys must be approved by a school staff committee of 3 independent, knowledgeable people.
- Experiments that culture/grow bacteria, viruses, or germs are not allowed.
- Hazardous chemicals, equipment, or procedures are not allowed. If there are questions, the project must be approved by a school staff committee of 3 independent, knowledgeable people.

These fees go to pay for student and teacher lunches, and awards.
